Flight 1 serves as the division with promotion and relegation opportunities with the NPL. Teams compete in home and away matches and may play outside their geographic area as they strive for promotion into the NPL. Participation in the SOCAL State Cup offers teams a chance to qualify for the US Club Soccer National Cup Finals in Denver, Colorado, in July.

Flight 2 offers a competitive level of play with geographically scheduled matches. Teams in this division participate in the SOCAL State Cup.

Flight 3 provides a lower level of competition, with matches scheduled within the local city or county. Participation in the SOCAL State Cup is optional for these teams.

Flight 4 bridges the gap between recreational and competitive play. Matches are scheduled within the team’s community, similar to recreational scheduling, but with a more competitive edge. Participation in the SOCAL State Cup is optional for these teams.
